The price

VAT

In the near future Valued Added Tax at 17.5% may need to be added to the print price, although some of our items will remain zero rated for example promotional flyers and leaflets.

Artwork

A charge may be made to cover any additional work involved where artwork/copy supplied is not clear and legible or electronic files supplied are damaged or otherwise unsuitable.

Artwork sign off

SMS Will not take responsibility on text, design and colour amendments  after client sign off work. Once artwork has been signed off the job will go straight to plate awaiting the printing process, if any amendments needed to be made once artwork has been signed SMS reserves the right to charge an additional fee for amendments to be made.SMS is not responsible for errors and omissions approved by the client. The client is solely responsible for errors missed during the proofing process of either the artwork supplied by the client or artwork created by SMS.The above terms and conditions also comply with electronic proofs.

Preliminary work

All work carried out , whether experimentally or otherwise, at customers request shall be charged.

Copyright

Unless negotiated and agreed in writing, the copyright of general artwork, commissioned artwork and illustrations belong to SMS. The customer shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary authority to reproduce pictures, artwork photographs etc.

Proofs

Proofs of all work may be submitted for customers approval and SMS shall incur no liability for any errors not corrected by the customer in proofs so submitted. Customers alterations and additional proofs necessitated thereby shall be charged extra. When style, type or layout is left to the printers  judgement, changes there from made acceptable unless otherwise agreed.

Colour proofs

Due to differences in equipment, paper, inks and other conditions between colour proofing and production runs, a reasonable variation between colour proofs and the completed job will be acceptable unless otherwise agreed.

Payment

Our terms of payment are as follows: 50% deposit upon placing an order and remaining 50% on collection or delivery.

Full colour print

Every effort will be made to obtain the best possible colour reproduction, because of the nature of the printing process involved SMS shall not required to guaranteed an exact match in colour or texture between customers photographs or transparency and printed articles.

Liability

SMS shall not be liable for indirect loss or third party claims occasioned by delay in completing the work or for any loss to the customer arising from delay in transit, whether as a result of SMS negligence or otherwise.

Illegal matter

SMS shall not be required to print any matter which in his opinion is or may be of an illegal or libelous nature or an infringement of the proprietary or other rights of any third party. SMS shall be indemnified by the customer in respect of any claims, cost and expenses arising out of any other proprietary or personal rights contained in any material printed for the customer. The indemnity shall extend to any amounts paid on lawyers advice in settlement of any claim.

Only Print

Only print is  a service that SMS offer existing customers, this entitle them to receive a discount on their print work because they have ordered and paid for the artwork in the past. Only print orders require the customer to have already submitted an order for the same product through the company, and the company must have designed and have stored the artwork for that particular project

Website design Terms

Your website will only be published upon receiving final payment. Whether your hosting is with the company or another third party.

Domain Names

Although we register domain names in the clients name, we reserve the right to access to the domain name. neither are we liable to pay any additional fees in which might occur either in renewing, purchasing or changing any details of this domain names.

Logo design

SMS hold full copyright on all logos designed by themselves. Upon full payment being received from the client, the ownership rights will pass on to the client  Due to international copyright and trade mark law, the company shall not be liable if the client is found to be infringing on any already existing copyright, trademark or services that they offer.  All our designs are of original material and can be protected by copyright. As we are not patent service , we do not provide logo registration.
